I've been reading posts like yours for eight months now at the wild and wonderful 2+2 Forums, and I too have seen some amazing things at online poker. However, I also have played almost 1000 hours and have about 100,000 hands under my belt now - and see the same people (including myself) winning. I just can't believe that if there was anything strange going on with the RNG's (random number generators) for online poker that we would NOT see the same people winning - there would be lots of maniacs taking down the money. My poker Tracker stats do not show players with high pre-flop VP$IP numbers to be long-term winners. In fact, I don't show anybody with a number above 22% to be a winner except for a few that I have only played a couple hundred hands with. Of the 9,800 players in my data base, nobody is winning over a half-bet an hour if their pre-flop voluntarily put money in the pot number is over 20% and they have more than 300 hands listed.

I don't believe in the rigged theory, I've given up on the Easter Bunny and have begun to question the moon landing.

I used to think the same things that online poker is a little strange. Until I played live poker a lot over the past month and seen the same suck outs and wild deals. It happens double as much online because you are delt double the hands.

[ QUOTE ]
Party deals 3438295728578391423 hands a day.

[/ QUOTE ]

Picture me squinting and pointing at my screen with my lips moving as I mentally add commas to this number and slooooowly figure out that it's a joke.

Now that we've established that I'm an idiot, anybody know what this number actually is?

3438295728578391423 = 3 quintillion, 438 quadrillion, 295 trillion, 728 billion, 578 million, 391 thousand, 423.

Considering the complete number of combinations a deck can be shuffled in is

80,658,175,170,943,878,571,660,636,856,403,766,975 ,289,505,440,883,277,824,000,000,000,000

or

eighty unvigintillion,
six hundred fifty eight vigintillion,
one hundred seventy five novemdecillion,
one hundred seventy octodecillion,
nine hundred forty three septendecillion,
eight hundred seventy eight sexdecillion,
five hundred seventy one quindecillion,
six hundred sixty quattuordecillion,
six hundred thirty six tredecillion,
eight hundred fifty six dodecillion,
four hundred three undecillion,
seven hundred sixty six decillion,
nine hundred seventy five nonillion,
two hundred eighty nine octillion,
five hundred five septillion,
four hundred forty sextillion,
eight hundred eighty three quintillion,
two hundred seventy seven quadrillion,
eight hundred twenty four trillion

party poker hasn't even come close to have dealt from all possible combinations.

As an aside, does anyone know what kind of RNG PP is using? And does anyone know anything about BMM's testing procedures? I'm talking hard figures here. (If you don't know what BMM is, you could always ask yourself "Why should I?")

I'm not questioning PP's integrity. I'm just curious. The issue isn't whether the game is rigged, and I don't really think it is. The issue is whether the RNG is streaky or not. I do feel I should have a right to know a little more about the RNG as a customer. With any kind of scientific training, you'd be inclined to think that a poker site should at least be able to present a few figures. After all it's common scientific decency. I have yet to see any online casino do that. PS uses user mouse input for seeding? SFW? I don't doubt they could present figures I'd be content with, but why don't they?

These threads pop up again and again, and I can see why you guys think they are ridiculous. And every time people jump on the bandwagon for a complementary beating on the original poster. But that's a bit ridiculous too when you think of it. Is PP's RNG streaky? How would you know? And why don't you know?

Nice, but how many hands does PP actually deal out a day?
