One more thing...Don't get all dressed up. Its a dead give away. If you you look young and are all decked out, they'll think you're trying to "look the part". The real gamblers in there where whatever, they dont give a [censored] so neither should you. You're not goin there to pick up girls anyway, you're goin there to make money. And no one is intimidated by what you're wearing either.

Im over 21 but these guys havent so much as even looked at me when I've walked inside. It doesn't seem that strict to me.

I just turned 21 and I've been to the 'woods a few times. When I go alone to play poker, I've never been carded. When I go with my friends and walk around the casinos, I get carded regularly. If you walk confidently into the poker room, I doubt you'll have a problem. I, personally would say it isn't worth the risk. If they decide to card you at cashout or something, you could lose a big chunk of your bankroll. Talk about a bad beat.

One thing you don't want to do is make obvious eye contact with the security people. If you're staring at them to see if they're checking you out. Well just like poker, that's a tell that you don't belong.

Yeah, I'm 21 and the age here is 18, and what these guys are saying is right...if you just walk in there like you've been there a milion times and dont even look at the security gaurd they're real unlikely to card you. I've only been carded this way once, and if I ever look at them they card me...

i'm 19 but i get carded about 50/50 at my casino (chumash, in central cal). i always try and get it so they don't card me, its always so insulting people thinking you aren't old enough or something (btw, i look like i'm 15). just don't look at them, but don't make it look like you are trying not to look at them or are avoiding them in any way. one time i guess a security guard thought i was doing that as i walked past them and they radioed another guard who stopped me mid casino for my id.

I've never heard of this happening at FW. I went A LOT when I was under 21 and the issue was always getting on the floor.

It may be hit or miss, and you may get away with it, but if they card you after you've bought chips, they can kick you out and take your chips. And since you technically bought the chips illegally, they won't give you your money back.
