Where I play the dealer is supposed to watch for string bets as well as the players. And I know that it is not angle shooting to call a string bet on someone. That's exactly what I said in my post. Whoever is saying that it is angle shooting to call someone on a string bet clearly doesn't understand what angle shooting means.

The responsibility for string raises depends on the card room.
In one local card room, the dealers say nothing unless a player complains. Then the dealer will enforce the complaint or not. In another nearby card room, it's up to the dealer. Anyway, I understand the string raise rule and I'm confident that it is a good rule. My original post came about as a result of making an accidental string raise which cost me a nice pot. But that was my own lack of attention to the situation... bdy |
