Re: What do you listen to when you play online?
[ QUOTE ]
HANSON all day every day! Okay, that was fun. Seriously, I have found that is my multi-table tournament music. You can find it under electronica/dance. I like to listen to music that contains few/no lyrics. If I listen to stuff with a lot of lyrics I find myself auditioning for America Idol and not thinking enough about the poker I'm playing. The Fight Club soundtrack is another good one. Techno/Trance, classical, instrumentals, any thing with few/no lyrics is golden. [/ QUOTE ] I'm not sure why it's missing, but it was supposed to say... "Seriously, I have found that Juno Reactor is my multi-table tournament music." |

Re: What do you listen to when you play online?
I am a newbie and learning about poker. However, when it comes to music, I agree on jazz. Better for me than rock. Does anybody else ever listen to KKJZ 88.1 FM? It is available directly from the website and off Apple Itunes radio (where I found it.) The Latin jazz on Friday evenings is very good. As for the poker, I'm still learning. Thanks to everyone on the board for their insight. dex

I like to listen to the new William Hung cd. You know, She Bangs, She Bangs. Very soothing.

Occasionally if I am really tense I do find Metallica very relaxing, but I have been listening to a lot of classical while playing lately. I think I will try the jazz for a while and see if that works for me also. I pay for Napster radio so I do have access to a large selection of music and poker playing time is a great time to check out new stuff.

Re: What do you listen to when you play online?
Today I decided to make the switch from the NL100 tables to 2/4. During my session I listened to the new Clapton cd covering Robert Johnson songs.
Only thing better is the original, but to like Robert Johnson you have to really like blues so if you don't know Robert Johnson you're better off listening to Clapton play them. In any case I finished up about $200 playing four tables for a few hours. Think I'll give God another go tomorrow, see if he comes through for me again. If so I'll have to go out and get some older stuff because his newer cd's haven't impressed me too much with the exception of this one and the one with BB King. |

Re: What do you listen to when you play online?
Preferably girl-rockers: Liz Phair, P.J. Harvery, etc. I don't know why, but No Limit Texas Hold 'Em lends itslef to guitars and cute girls singing about [censored].
Oterwise Beatles, R.E.M., Outkast -- whatever I happen to be listening to lately. |
