[ QUOTE ]
The next week I bought TOP and HPFAP, found twoplustwo.com, and now I'm a regular 5-10 winner and in training for 15-30. [/ QUOTE ] nothing beats progress |

$6000 to Chesterfield? What was that? Please refresh my memory.
[ QUOTE ] They continue, and we must assume Teddy has reloaded once for $20,000 more after tilting away some of his money. [/ QUOTE ] Wasn't the stipulation that they keep on playing until one of them lose their stack? So how can KGB reload in the middle of the 2nd match? |

$6000 to Chesterfield? What was that? Please refresh my memory.
Mike gets Worm "straightened out" at the Chesterfield and Worm gets them to loan him $2000 "on the finger". When the Famke Janssen comes buy Mike's apartment, she tells him that "Roman and Maurice haven't been back since. But Worm's been around plenty. He's run you up just over $8 Gs." Mike pays her some of it out of his pocket. We later learn, in the gym, that Worm lost it playing blackjack. As far as KGB goes, that was the stipulation for the first round of $10,000, which Mike won with two pair, Jacks and Sevens. When KGB reloads, we must assume that he loses his whole stack again, but in less dramatic fashion. Then he buys again for another $20,000, which he loses most of in one hand, in which we the dramatic high point is that we realize Mike is capable of a slowplay. What drama. |

So I've been playing 5-10 at Party for a few months now, and still re- (and re-) reading TOP, HEP, HLSFAP, HPFAP.
I was looking at PokerTracker numbers and was thoroughly disgusted to see that my rake paid was almost equal to the amount I've won. So I took my $4,500 bankroll and decided to get into a 15-30 game for $600. I also promised myself that if at any point, I lost 25 BB from my high point, I would rejoin my usual 5-10 games until I built enough of a roll and I felt like a favourite at the 10-20 game, and move on from there. I did the usual scouting and found a game better than any 5-10 game I had played in a while, and sat down. I documented this first session in an Internet Forum thread entitled "Why didn't anyone tell me?". Well, I'm obviously on a bit of a run, but in one week (and about 14 hours of poker) my bankroll has reached $9,600, and more importantly, I at times feel like the best player at the table, but never feel like a significant underdog. THAT'S progress. |

I often feel like giving 15/30 a crack and when I watch the games they don't seem particularly strong. Feel the bad sessions will be hard to take until I have the proper bankroll for them though.
