Rounders movie question

OK for all you Rounders fans, I have a question. I missed something at the end. When he went to play KGB the second time, he had 10 grand. He won, so he had 20 grand. He won again so he should have had 40, but he said he came away with 60. What did I miss?

I'm pretty sure he had 40K. He used 10K to pay back his professor and then he had "3 stacks of high society", just like when he went to play KGB the first time.

Re: Rounders movie question

Teddy reloaded

15 back to teddy
6 back to the Chesterfield to cover worm's (ultimately Mike's) debt
10 back to professor
30 to Mike profit

He walked from the felt with +/- 61,000

You're forgetting the money he owed KGB for worm. But I refer to barons post.."Feel free to reload any time"

Ok thanks for all the responses. I didn't catch the part where he said he could reload. does this mean that he let KGB put another 20 grand in? I didn't see any of that in the movie.

Re: Rounders movie question

There is a lot in the movie that got chopped, probably for time etc...like was talked about before...he cashes a 10,000 late at night -- no questions asked??? I just figured he either a) knew that place well -- b) the judge was connected -- c) both -- seemed the only way to make sense of it to me. Someone noted that in the pre-final version, the professor notes where to go to get taken care of, so I just write it off to the judge knew some people etc....
