Why? He raised pre-flop and now bets out into a coordinated "limpers-range" flop and gets raised and reraised. It's very likely he'll get only half the pot at most if he makes his straight and may well be behind. Plus he doesn't want to spike a jack and there's a flush draw out. A lot of negatives. If that's paranoid, I'm paranoid too.
