Default Re: How much do you buy in for?

i buy in for twice the default. i do this for 2 reasons.
1)i feel a little more relaxed with plenty of money
2)it might all be in my mind but it seems my semi bluffs get a little more respect when ive got alot of money

I buy in for multiples of 17 BB. I don't like other people knowing how well or badly I am doing. If I get down to 12 BB, it's usually time to consider whether I should be at the table. If so, I'll buy 17 BB more.

The math is easy once it's a habit.

Hmmm, I really like that idea.

As for me, I buy in for 25BB. My session lengths are 1 hour a piece - as I don't have much time right now to play longer sessions. If I've lost 25BB in 1 hour, I need to seriously review my play to determine whether it was me or a just bad cards. I've only been playing for a couple of weeks, but the most I've lost in 1 hour is 15BB so far.
