Default How much do you buy in for?

At party, 25BB seems to be what most people buy in for. When I played at TGC and paradise, the default seemed to be to buy in for the entire bankroll. As a rule, I generally buy in for 30BB. If I loose more than 15BB and still feel mentally OK (ie not tilting), I usually fill back up.

Doesn´t matter much as long as you refill when you go below 12BBs
I buy in for party default...

I buy-in for 50bb. I really hate to reload, reminds me of how shtty I am doing on the table. Of course, having to reload when you bought in for 50bb is even worse.

I play paradise and buy in for 50BB's at any limit at 2 tables. If a table has a flop percentage of 60% or higher I'll buy in for 100BB's.

50 BB is good. The following factors influence me:

1. I must never start a hand with less than 12 BB.

2. With only a little over 12 BB, there is a risk of a big loss and having to start the next hand below 12 BB before you can reload.

3. I'm too busy taking notes and stuff to waste time reloading.

4. Always starting with the same amount is good for record-keeping purposes.

5. I don't care to advertise my account balance.

6. When I change tables, I often buy in at one or two potential new tables before I'm ready to leave my old table. I want several times my buy-in in my account so that it doesn't get complicated.

I buy in for 25BB. Making sure you don't go lower than 12 is almost mandatory. Nothing worse than flopping a monster and going all-in for one SB on the flop.

I buy in the 30BB at every table i play...the only reasion is that when i started playing i read an article by Annie Duke on UB that suggested this, and of course if the table is good i will rebuy at 15 or so...this has worked for me so i still buy in for 30...

I buy in for multiples of 17 BB. I don't like other people knowing how well or badly I am doing. If I get down to 12 BB, it's usually time to consider whether I should be at the table. If so, I'll buy 17 BB more.

The math is easy once it's a habit.

I buy in for 25, and then as I move tables I'll always have what I had before follow me so I feel like I have an accurate reading of my session. (so if I'm at 19 I'll buy in with 19 if my table dies and I move).
