Re: The question
jedi,
i will answer the question when it is phrased in a way that i can accept. i have never had knowledge of an opponents cards ever. i have both shared my cards with a friend at the table and they have shared their cards with me. at that moment we ceased being opponents and became teammates. winholdem support. |

Can\'t Read Pokerstars
Party works like a charm but your program refuses to read pokerstars no matter what resolution I try.
There should be preset game types (loose, loose agressive, tight, tight agressive), etc and you should be able to define different hand rules for each game type. Depending on game type, the bot should gravitate toward x% of hands seen in the blinds and out of the blinds and an overall % of hands seen. There should be preset behavior types, i.e. check raise with top pair on flop if first or 2nd to act and > x players in, etc. The river play is especially poor, i.e. 3 betting bottom 2 pair when the board is 3 to a flush and 3 to a straight with 4 players in. Nice work! Also your grammar, spelling and speaking skills are very poor which is reflected in the quality of the GUI (also poor). I could go on forever but you guys have a lot of work to do. This is hardly a major victory for poker bots. P.S. Between having a top 10 American Idol contestant and being the first to market with a poker bot that plays in online cash games, Snellville, GA has had quite a year. |

Re: The question
Unfortunately that's not true. Everyone at your table is an opponent. Just because you can't accept it doesn't mean it isn't true.
So basically, you're dodging the question again. Re: The question
[ QUOTE ]
My first question was: How does knowing my opponents and teammates cards enhance my poker experience? I won't accept the following answers: * It gives you more information about how your opponent/teammate plays, allowing you to play better poker against them. * It allows you to follow along during the hand, giving you a "rooting interest" in the hand even after you folded Neither of these answers is acceptable because your program allows me to find out their hole cards while I still have a hand. If your program were to only allow me to see this information after I had folded then I see no problem with it. It's exactly as if I were sitting next to my friend in a B&M, folded my hand, and then had him show me his cards. [/ QUOTE ] Let's ignore the word opponents, since we disagree on the definition. How does knowing my teammates cards enhance my poker experience?. |

Re: The question
Winholdem your pokerstars scraping is messed up do you care to address this?
Also, why are you debating the morality of your product here. No one's mind is going to be changed so why bother. If you are interested in making the bot better let us know. |
