Wow, I don't like this. First, why not bet 4 on flop? Then on turn: If he has something like 88, the turn check might get you at most around 6 or 7 on river you otherwise would have lost. But if he has draw or a KQ-ish type hand you're losing a LOT by not betting turn.
As played, I think you have to call the river. What's he going to call you with that you beat there? And definitely fold to the push absent a strong read.
