Re: Top set on dangerous board - Party 5/10 6max
I would not say the 8 is a scare card. Probably someone just made a straight about 20% of time.

Re: Top set on dangerous board - Party 5/10 6max
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] I dont usually bet 75. I did this time, c'mon it doesnt matter much here. Villain call 115 and 75 with the same hands and its only 40$ diffrence. I know that psb might be better but its not that important here really. [/ QUOTE ] you put in 115 instead of 75 here, thats an extra 120 in the pot pot then is 460 on the turn and you have like 900 left throw in 450 on the turn for another pot-sized, or even a little less like 400 if you want and you can just stick it in on the river [/ QUOTE ] imagine what happens when you bet 150... |

Re: Top set on dangerous board - Party 5/10 6max
regardless of what happened on the flop I think you can save yourself by pushing all in on the turn.
3 things happen... 1) If you are against 9-10 who cares... you're going to pay him off anyways, and atleast you have a chance to improve your hand with 1 card coming. 2) The 57 other draws that are on the board now have to pay a hefty price to get there. 3) With your super-weak continuation bet on the flop... you might get paid off by TPTK or maybe even mid-pair with an ACE kicker... since you bitched out on the flop... if you over commit on the turn, the villians will be confussed and possibly put you on a steal / draw since you didn't get re-raised on the flop. |

Your play is to bet, bet, and bet some more. If he happens to have the only two cards that beat you, so be it.
