Default Re: Turn donk river check-raise...call or fold?

read all the post before replying and have nothing good to add except we know no aa-qq because i think a tighty caps here so list goes on to jj tt or a smaller pocket given turnbet. i think call turn bet and check down river expecting trips since no checkraise on turn

Can you expand on this comment? Any other way villain plays this hand, he makes less - at least against me. If he checkraises the turn, I'm out. The donk was a good play by him because it froze me and I found no way I could raise here with this hand. however the river checkraise was obviously questionable as I really should have checked behind and would certainly fold to the raise if I was making a bluff at the pot.

Why not raise the turn? Can someone please explain?

this was my thought. then 2 questions come to mind:

1. do we fold to a 3-bet
2. do we take the free showdown if checked to on the river.

i would say "yes" to both, but am unsure.

I think his bet on the turn gave a lot of his hand away. two flush draws on the board made him bet out to protect his hand from a free card. after seeing that irrelevant 5 hitting the river he knew he had the best hand. i would fold.

wouldn't a pocket pair or a 7 donk this turn as well? i can't see him having a 2.

I don't think any worse hand will 3-bet unless he's a maniac so i think it would be a safe fold.

But i would also bet the river for value, what are we afraid of? A jack? I don't really buy it.
