You sound like a skit by the jerky boys, when the white guy applies for a job as a salesman, and insults his potential boss at the interview and threatens potential customers. As for the poker 4500 is a start, but if you don't work and have to pay rent in the USA you will be under the gun big time. Try working 20 hours a week and playing 20+ and if you are still a winning player then maybe save your winnings and try and make a run. As for the girlfriend if she isn't a player herself the relationship is probably doomed if she thinks poker is self destructive behaviour, just my two cents worth.

Hi Ryan,
This situation is obviously stressing you out (judging by the tone of some of your posts) - if your fiance is making you unhappy by stopping you do something you love, then you don't have the greatest base for a relationship surely? What would she say if you banned her from shopping for clothes, jewellery etc? If you were gambling rent money or were in thousands of dollars of debt she might have a point, but I cannot believe this is the case with you.
