First of all, why would she say this? Relationships are about commitment and comprimise [sic]. If you're gambling the rent money, then maybe you shouldn't play, but if this isn't the case then why doesn't she want you to play. Is she afraid of something, (you might go broke, not be able to be a providing husband). My fiance isn't exactly keen on my playing, but she's never told me that I couldn't play. I don't know your situation but you're you own man and need to do what is best for you in the long run.
Good luck, man.

Ok, can you see how that's a reasonable request for her? Stability is important especially in a relationship. And some people cannot handle the swings that come with poker. But I can't see anything wrong with the occasional game. What limits do you play? And how do you fund your games? A job, buy-in small work your way up? Get a paycheck and woo baby it's off to the races? Does this make sense?
I'm enjoying this post.

[sic] is used when you use a word and aren't sure if you spelled it correctly or not. It kind of says "okay, I don't know if this is spelled correctly or not, so don't call me on it"
BTW I liked the former "hard ass/mouth full of burrito pic"

Actually Daryn really is right. It ISN'T for that purpose.

It's used when you are quoting a source where the original was mispelt, or when a word that would seem to be something else actually isn't.

What you're looking for is the modern 'net "sp?".
