You specifically passed a moral judgment on Columbus by claiming he looked at Indians merely as obstacles based on information from the internet that you admitted took very little time to find. Your research sucks and so do your conclusions.

Actually I checked out some books from the library as well and quoted them. But of course you won't consider that because you'd just be wrong. If you're suggesting that only sites on the internet claim he treated the natives as obstacles, then there's something seriously wrong with you. Go the the friggin library and look through the books. Oh yeah, you also used the internet to find some University's site and read the first few pages of CC's log, whereas I actually checked the log out from the library. Your research sucks. My conclusions are confirmed by multiple CC biographers, that helped to implement genocide. If you don't beleive me look up how many native Arawaks are left in Haiti. I'll help you out. There are none left. The last died out sometime between 1550 and 1650. How about this research: "In two years, through murder, mutilation, or suicide, half of the 250,000 Indians on Haiti were dead." You can deny the facts all you want, that just makes you look insane.

I submit that CC's actions were immoral not matter what time period's eyes you look through. I know you're a good little Christian, so I don't understand where you're coming up with this moral relativity crap.

I already responded to why the Indian population saw a great demise. Go read that post before rehashing old arguments.

And congratulations on going to the library to get quotes you first said you took off the internet in a minute. When you opened a book, was there blood? Give my regards to comrade Nicky G too.

Columbus did deliberately kill many Indians, and he was an evil Catholic.

Some nice religious bigotry there, dude.

I'm a Catholic.

I feel that Columbus was an evil Catholic.

I am a religious bigot?

[/ QUOTE ]

No. You're a self-loathing apologist.

Ok, doctor. So there have been no evil Catholics in history? Or are you saying I'm a self-loathing apologist merely because I agree that Columbus is evil?
