[/ QUOTE ] My thoughts on sandals to the bar is that it can only be pulled off at campus dive bars mid week. But yeah generally on any thursday through saturday night its just plain pathetic.

There are a select few places that I feel sandles are appropriate, and they're all campus dive bars. Which are fun places to go, don't get me wrong -- but given that you were going to a place with ANY kind of dress code, your friend shouldn't have been wearing sandles.
