This one area where I have a lot of problems. When I 3-Bet pre-flop (like here w/ 88 or TT or even JJ), and then the flop has paint. What then?
I havent come up with a solution. Todd |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I really hate the PF smooth-call. There are just soooooo many great reasons to raise here. Furthermore, if you don't have a read to 3-bet then I'm guessing you didn't have reads to think that 3 out of 4 players left to act were going to call 2 cold and even then you probably want all 4 and what if one of them would've 3-bet (especially the CO/Button). [/ QUOTE ] He can't fold, he posted a blind. [/ QUOTE ] It's been raised. And even if it wasn't he, technically, could still fold.(EDIT: Unless there's something weird about Crypto's software - I don't play there.) [/ QUOTE ] I know it's been raised. How does that make folding an option? It's not like he's cold-calling and has to expect others to come in behind him in order to play. |

on crypto 2/4, EP raises are usually big hands here [/ QUOTE ] Given this, why do people want to 3-bet? If this guy is unknown, I guess it would really come down to PFR% of your average Crypto player, and how especially if they have tighter standards UTG and UTG+1. I just remember when I tried to play at AbsolutePoker and all the players were really rockish ABC players and there EP raises meant AA-QQ and AK. Given that, I call preflop, hope to hit our set, if not maybe take a crack at it if it's a favorable flop for us. Don't know if it's too weak tight, but I was thinking I would fold to the flop 3-bet or turn donk. |

I still like 3-betting better than calling. Buying the button, knocking out overcards, taking initiative if UTG has a big-ace hand. I'm not sure if there is really a huge difference between calling and raising but I prefer to be the aggressor in this situation. |

[ QUOTE ] A lone 6 beats me on the river while it doesn't on the turn... [/ QUOTE ] okay, but lets logically think at to how that 6 can hurt you. YOu said that the villian raises with good hands, so how does the 6 change anything, it doesn't [/ QUOTE ] The villain in this hand is not the pf raiser, it's the BB who had to just call a small bet to see a flop, so his hand range is quite wide. |

whats the minimum you guys 3 bet with, 77? [/ QUOTE ] I wouldn't go any lower than 88 on Crytpo. I'd pop 88 in a heartbeat on Party 2/4, and I'm not sure about 77. Obviously I'd do all of these on both sites if it was a LMP raiser. |

3 bet this preflop. Isolate and maximize your chances of winning.
