I guess the danger of getting squeezed out by a worse hand is pretty small?

Any of you like a raise preflop there ? I like doin that for starters, At least get them thinking AK, KQ, KJs or something. From then on I'm taking shots at that pot till I see an A.

I guess the danger of getting squeezed out by a worse hand is pretty small? [/ QUOTE ] I don't think so. Any PP or 3 is going to bet when hero checks, and a player could certainly be waiting for the turn to raise a K - most of which are worse. I agree with Krishan that he may be underestimating the amount of times players are peeling here with no pair hands - and that many will pay off a turn bet with A-hi or trying to pair a hand like JT. Getting raised sucks, but we'll get raised by worse Ks and PPs(and 3s) so we have to call down - I think knowing something about your opponents says alot. If they are mostly LAGs, 40/20/3s etc, I think they are more likely to bet this turn with worse hands when the flop aggressor checks than continue calling down with unpaired hands. In this instance I like a turn check. Surf |

[/ QUOTE ] Our position is terrible, and a pfr won't stop them from taking shots at us on semi-scary flops where they think we missed. At the 5/10 where the general level of opposition is lower I used to raise this preflop because it gains me a significant amount of fold equity. Surf |

How can you even consider not betting? [/ QUOTE ] Because there is very little that can call. Why not let them bet worse hands? Also, getting raised here puts us in a bad spot. IMO you are making this much easier than it is. |

(B) is a bad reason to check. You will often be raised here by worse hands. If we held something like KQ I'd seriously consider 3betting a laggy raiser, who will often call with a PP or worse K. Well, of course reads would help. However, you can't let aces or PPs get infinite odds to draw here, I think. The chance that someone has a 4 or a K with a better kicker is pretty low IMO. I bet you make money of worse Ks and lower pps and stupid donks with crap far more often in the long run.

I raise preflop but since you didn't, I check and see on the flop. This is totally WA/WB IMO.

Yes, yes it is. So I don't mind checking the turn, except what can they put you on? I think they will bet better hands on the turn and take a free card with worse. I think that's why I like just checking on the flop better. It will often go someone bets, a bunch of people fold, you call. Check/call turn and bet or check/call river depending on how much he bluffs.
