Re: Empire Poker bonus little scam
Me too, Mike. It says "up to $100."
BTW, I got an unsolicited CD from Empire in the mail last week. I haven't opened it, but the outside also states "20% up to $100." |

Me too. It's really just to promote the casino that Empire has an affiliate with.

Re: Empire Poker bonus little scam
here is a copy of an e-mail just received minutes ago:
"Dear Mike, Thank you for contacting our Customer Care team. We apologize for the misinformation sent to you. We really appreciate you for taking time and letting us know of the advert. This has been fixed and you can check this now at: http://www.empirepoker.com/index2075.html or http://www.empirepoker.com/index.html We once again thank you for providing us this valuable feedback and your continued patronage. If you have further questions and/or concerns, please contact us via our live chat feature or simply reply to this message. Sincerely, N** R******, Customer Care Representative." when i click on the two links they say they have corrected i see the $75 on the first but still $100 on the second - and this must be the fifth or sixth time they have told me they have corrected it how can they dare to continually put this stuff out without checking it first? |

Re: Empire Poker bonus little scam
I haven't read whole thread, so I may be duplicating:
I go to www.empirepoker.com and I do indeed see " ... $75". This has come up in earlier posts too. This is not Empire's fault as far as I can tell. It is probably your browser pulling up a cached copy of an old page. Customer service at Party/Empire sucks, but for this one you should blame Microsoft. |

BROWSER SETTINGS -- Re: Empire Poker bonus little scam
If you have your browser set to check for a new version of the page everytime you hit the page, you will not have that issue -- most browsers are set to use the cache first, as it is still the defalt from the dial-up days etc....
That is what I believe the issue is for y'all.... |

Re: BROWSER SETTINGS -- Re: Empire Poker bonus little scam
how do you change that browser setting, even temporarily? i remember seeing the option somewhere but i can't find it now
while looking for it i clicked tools, clicked internet options, and clicked clear history - i thought this would do the same thing, but www.empirepoker.com still shows $100 for me (i have windows xp) incidentally, at 9.00am this morning candy rang me to say she's going to sort me out personally one way or another so i stop writing to them every few hours, and i will never have a problem with them again at 9.05am this morning neo rang me to say he's going to sort me out personally one way or another so i stop writing to them every few hours, and i will never have a problem with them again |

Re: BROWSER SETTINGS -- Re: Empire Poker bonus little scam
In IE use Tools menu -> Internet Options
then under the General tab, click Settings... button In the Settings dialog box, click the option for Check for newer versions of stored pages: Every visit to page. Doing this will slow down your browsing, particularly if you use a dial-up connection. You can also empty your cashe (Tools menu -> Internet Options then under the General tab, click Delete Files button), restart your browser and visit the page to see if the page has changed. |
