Empire Poker bonus little scam

I received a mailing from Empire saying 20% bonus of up to $100. So I deposit $500 and this is the e-mail I get:

Congratulations! You have been awarded a bonus amount of $75 (20% of your deposit amount $500) and the money has been added into your account.

So I called them & they said a mistake has been made & I'm only entitled to $75 max. Yeah, right.
It's only $25 they screwed me out of, but still...

i had the same thing..But after 16 emails,,i got my extra 25$ and a free roll tournament..So good luck,,and email again.

Let email cool for 24-72 hours. Repeat process 15 times. Bake in Customer Support at 350 degrees and let cool for 24-72 more hours. Finished product: $25

would someone who has NOT clicked on one of the empire adverts on twoplustwo before please do so and tell me what bonus offer they see please?

i see "20% bonus up to $100" but in ongoing e-mails they swear to me they have changed it to " ... $75" and it is because i clicked on it before that a temporary file on my computer has stored "$100" and i see the old advert instead of the new one - similarly if i go to the basic www.empirepoker.com page

i would love to know if they are telling me the truth or not on this one as it would be quite revealing (i have kept their dozen or so e-mails on it)

Hi Mike,

I have just recently registered here at 2+2, and until then I don't think my pc accepted cookies from here until we did register. Therefore, I think their response is a canned error.

When I click the Empire banner on this page, it takes me to Empire's homepage that states $100 on sign up bonus. I think this is an issue I have seen mentioned here and elsewhere, and I am quite suprised they are disallowing the $100.

IMO, they should be embarassed that this is not fixed yet.

I had a similar problem with an ACR promo that they had on their page. I asked Torstyn about it and he said it had been changed and i was getting the old page stored on my computer. He said if i went to the page and refreshed i'd get the new page. Voila, it worked and i saw the new page instead of the old one that was store on my computer.

So i figured it would be the same for this empire page but it did not work, so i feel it is not a case of it being stored on your computer becasue you've been there before. I think it just typical empire idiocy, and they have never changed this page.
