The rationale is that better hands rarely raise you b/c they are afraid you sucked out with two pair, but worse hands like KK will call. If you take a c/c approach, the worse hands will check behind. I think the only time that the c/c-c/c-bet line is dangerous, is if the villain is a nutcase, in which you fear the river raise, and in any event, you can count on him to bet his worse hands for you. The other category of player it is dangerous to do against is the smart, thinking TAG, who will raise a better ace for value knowing the line you are using. If you do too many standard plays (e.g., Clarkmeister) against this kind of player, you are going to get pwned. |

I'd play it the same. Against a passive player you might be able to take the bet/fold line on the river (especially when it's a scare card like a 4 straight or completed flush draw). With your read the call down is SOP.
