Default Defending w/ A4o

Ultimate Bet 5/10 Hold'em (5 handed) converter

Button is quite new to the table, but seems fairly aggressive.

Preflop: Hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
1 fold, Button raises, 1 fold, Hero calls.

Flop: (4.40 SB) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, Button bets, Hero calls.

Turn: (3.20 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, Button bets, Hero calls.

River: (5.20 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero bets, Button raises, Hero ?

Fold.

Your line is good except for the river. He can't put you on an ace considering you have showned no strength so far and given your read of your opponent, he'll prorably continue to bet on the river with a worse hand thus paying you off all the way. There's no reason to bet this. C/c all the way.

I agree that c/c river is better than betting out.

Anyone prefer c/r the turn?

No. I prefer c/r the flop. And leading turn. IF he calls the turn, I'd be inclined to check the river to induce a bluff from a worse hand, which this villain is capable of doing given the read.

No. If villian isn't ahead right now, he just picked up a ton of draws. I'm not interested in charging him while I'm out of position, I just want to get to showdown.

I often take this route, assuming I have an easy fold to a 3-bet.

I would definitely call here, especially against an aggressive opponent.
