True, but my opponents with six outs would tend to fold because of the Q on the flop, not counting themselves as having a full 6 outs. While they would be correct to call, only A and K are overcards on that flop and most hands with odds would fold there.

If I thought that AJ would call behind me, I would have raised.

But you make good points nonetheless.

i don't think this is necessarily true, as most people view the button's bet as total bs anyway. how many times have been dealt pocket jacks, isolated a limper preflop, been checked to and called on an Axx board by KQo and had your jacks sucked out on? just because there is a queen out there, doesn't mean they're discounting their outs.
