Those limpers would have to be real loose for me to think of calling this preflop. Even then, 5 bets, if they're big bets, is alot for the preflop raiser. This isn't necesarily a guy just going all in. I'd fold it. If he's that loose a raiser, then I'd lean towards 3 betting it, not just calling. Suited, I could buy in with the call.

The flop is great for your hand, but sucks for your action. You can bet out, most will fold. If you wait for the turn, you can't really raise until the river if someone bets into you as coming alive everyone in the crap pit will know you have a J. Betting out on the turn can look like a missed c/r on the flop. This is one I might check hoping for some action. I might only be just betting the river on this one.

I am not thrilled about the preflop call.

Is this $20 small blind? Does it affect the preflop decision?

Me too apparently. Can someone explain why this isn't a clear 3bet to isolate the guy who is fairly close to allin? .

I'm not sure I want him isolated with this hand and a 4-bet would make me puke, but I sure don't mind taking a peek at the flop with 3 other donks in there.

I take it back, on further thought this should be a fold. I always assume shortstacks are retarded/tilted and trying to give away their last chips, but raising behind 2 limpers he probably has a hand.

Why not check raise/call?, 2 limpers probably missed, and that dude who raised will probably bet, if you raise the late position better he may think you are putting a play on him.

No but your action up to and including the c/r looks like a medium pocket pair. If they have a pair or a jack they're playing with you and if they don't they're probably not calling 1 bet either. Attempting to narrow the field on the flop seems like the best way to convince the field you don't have a jack and get 2+ bets in on the turn.

Not to mention, if it's 5 'big' bets, that's a long ways to go all in.

A guy tried that the other night in my live game. We got to the river after he just jammed the flop a little with a most likely 2 pair and he tries that 'trying to go all in' line. I just smiled and said, 'you had plenty of chips to start that hand' and folded.
