Re: AK and missed the flop
I LOOOOVE BETTING MISSED FLOPS i just can't help my itchy trigger finger. but i would take the free card on the turn for damn sure and fold river UI- do not call thinking "what if he's bluffing"- if you're going to do this, then play the way you just did is better.

Re: AK and missed the flop
Yea, your right, forgot about the clubs. A fold is good. Would you have bet the flop? Acting last makes it tempting to take a free look at the turn.

Re: AK and missed the flop
As with many others, I don't agree with the Turn call.
I don't think that I am raising this hand on the flop. I think that there are a lot of draws out there, and they are not folding to a bet so not much point in betting. With three opponents in, I think that it would is hard to see you winning this unimproved, so at MOST you have 6 outs, I would actually discount this pretty heavily on the flop, likely to 4, on the turn I would reduce this to 3 outs. By the river I would say that there is little to no chance that you are ahead and I would release to any bet (which you did). Heads up or against two opponents this may play a little differently for the flop and turn, but against aggression I still think that the coordinated nature of the board would make me want to let it go. Re: AK and missed the flop
Yeah I would bet the flop rather than take the free card. There are two good reasons for betting:
1. My hand may very well be good. I'm beating a lot of the hands UTG+2 would decline to cap with, and there are only two other limpers facing a board that was tough to hit. 2. Betting the flop may allow me to take a free card on a more expensive street. If there were 5+ opponents in the hand, (1) would be much less likely to hold so I would go ahead and take my free card now, but with only 3 opponents I think I'm ahead here often enough to go ahead and bet for value. |

Re: AK and missed the flop
I bet the flop. There's a decent chance you have the best hand. Depends on reads, how the hand plays out, etc, I consider betting the turn also.

Re: AK and missed the flop
Bet the flop. It's possible you have the best hand and you don't want to give free cards to straight and flush draws. I often bet the turn as well. But I can't say how many opponents you would have if you had the bet the flop.

Re: AK and missed the flop
I think you can squeeze off a flop bet here. You can reasonably think you have the best hand. Also, with the pot as big as it is, *if* you do have the best hand, it would be nice to lose a player or two so you can better hold up UI.

Re: AK and missed the flop
not to mention that we may get a fold which only helps our chances.
