Re: Thoughts on playing preflop for high pot only...
Thanks for your huge responce Buzz. I don't know wher eyou get the time and energy to write these things, unless you copy and paste from somewhere.
But I'm definitley agreeing with you on a lot of that stuff. From now on, I'm only playing such hands if there's a suit ace, a pair, two pair, and it's a cheap multi way pot. |

Re: Thoughts on playing preflop for high pot only...
i dont play hands like aggressively that in hopes of getting it HU. i'll play 4 cards T or more, espeically w/ a suited ace. i'll also toss in a call with something like a 9 T J Q
but when i play these hands, i want limpers for the multiway compensation on preflop odds and i want an un aggressive table preflop |

Re: Thoughts on playing preflop for high pot only...
Buzz answered the question as completely as is humanly possible. I'm going to print off his post to read it later.
My two cents, for what it's worth: I won't play 4 unsuited unpaired high cards unless I'm in late position. I'm then hoping for an uncoordinated board that has either two or 3 high cards. If the board is favorable to me, and it gets checked around, I'll usually make a pot sized bet to try to scoop the pot then and there. I'll almost always play 4 high cards if they contain a suited A. I'll try to limp in when in early position, but will fold to a large raise. If the high cards have a pair, I'll usually play them if there are a lot of limpers and I'm in late position. I'll try to limp in if they're paired *and* suited if I'm in any position, but will fold to a large raise. These rules are subject to change depending on the table composition, of course.
