Re: Planning trip to AC
I stayed at that same Super 8 before.. You'll have a "Deliverance" shack across the street from you.. I'd steer clear of those people. The rooms were fine but the outside/surroundings were pretty crumby. |

The hotels in Absecon try to give you this impression that you're staying in this nice area in the town next to AC. In reality, the town is, as the quoted poster stated, the sister-city of that in Deliverance, the hotels are dumps, and it costs $25 (one-way) in cab fare to get to AC. When you add up the additional costs, there's absolutely no benefit to staying in Absecon. Take it from someone who made that mistake once. -Tripp |

Re: Planning trip to AC
But let's say the Super 8 is around 75$ a night, while outside of Absecon (probably AC), I won't get anything under 130-140$, am I not better off in Absecon ?
I'm driving there, so no cabs needed. |

Re: Planning trip to AC
I have stayed at the Fairfield Inn in Absecon a number of times, and never felt unsafe. Not sure about the Super 8 though.

Re: Planning trip to AC
The Comfort Inn North on Route 30 in Absecon is the nuts if you're playing at Borgata. Short, direct drive to and from, good management, reasonable prices.
