Default Planning trip to AC

I thought you guys might be the most knowledgeable on the forum for this. I'm planning a trip to AC and just want to hear about great poker rate rooms. Is that valuable at all or is it too much trouble to get 'em ?

edited because I found some info but still wondering about this up here

i think the rate at the borg is $40/n on weekdays, but despite whatever they tell you on the phone you cant get that rate until after youve applied for a member card and have put in hours at the table. if its your first time at the borg you cant checkin and get the discount later.

So it's basically a no deal if I don't have the card already right...

I have a trop card but I wonder if getting a p/r room there is even possible during summer period ?

To get the borg poker rate, you need to log 8 hrs a day in their room. They have 2 poker rates, one 49, one 79. To get the 2nd one, you only need 4 hrs.

So basically I need to go there w/o reservations, play 4 hours, then pray that they have a room ?

Do they usually have these rooms or is it almost impossible to get one ? Probably depends on day of the week too... ?

Super 8 in Absecon for 75$ all included, thur-to-monday, sounds good ? Or too sleazy ?

Your best bet might be to call them.

if you don't play enough for the adjusted rate but you have reserved the poker rate, you just get charged the rate they quote you on the phone right and not the website rate?

i went down to ac a few months ago with some friends. my friend called them on the phone, said that we had never been there before but would be playing borgata poker all day every day that we are there and would like poker rate. the lady on the phone reserved us for the poker rate for 2 nights.

we get down there, they both get their member cards, i dont (im underage) and they play all day. we stay there 2 nights and when we check out they charge us full rate for the rooms saying that you have to present your member cards before requesting poker rate otherwise you are booked at full rate and there is nothing they can do about it. we argued for at least 15 minutes asking to speak to managers and such and they didnt budge.

basically, be careful about what the lady on the phone says because we got the shaft and you might too.
