capeerroo!!!, open raise from MP by QTIP = wide range, 3 bet standards from SS = wide range and tends to be more heavily emphasized on PP which you dominate (I may be talking out of my ass here, put me in line someone). You = driver's seat.

Yeah I join the others and say cap for the reasons the others posted and also agree that it's a fold if one of the raises came from EP.

I call because I don't want to lead out the flop and want to see how much QTip likes his hand. If he only calls, you're set up to trap the field when you hit a J or check-raise when you have an overpair to the flop.

you should be, he should want TAGs folding to his PF raises, not raising him out of the pot

How do you reason 'if an ace comes you bet out with more confidence'? for me here if an ace comes i bet out, if i get raised i'm likely folding. maybe more confident that i'm behind when i get raised but not very happy....

If I may... I think that the poster means that by not capping preflop hero is reducing the hands that he is representing to the opps and therefore, when the A flops, hero's bet out is inconsistant with his preflop representation and appears donkish.

Hero can only call 3 cold or raise preflop holding AA (slowplaying), AK (slowplaying), AQs??, PP >9??. By not capping, hero basically says to opps that I have no A. Opps can then push him off a hand with big PPs.

OK Toss?
