Daily Hand Post: another decision with JJ
QTip is MP3. I know who he is, he doesn't know who I am. SippinSoma is CO. We know who each other are.
Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (9 handed) converter Preflop: I am SB with J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. 4 folds, QTip raises, SippinSoma 3-bets, 1 fold, I.... |

Re: Daily Hand Post: another decision with JJ
Cap. If QTip raised UTG and SS still 3bet, then I think I would fold. But the first raise came in late position (wide range), so SS's 3bet is a wider than normal range (probably any pair down to 66, AK-AJ, KQs). Against those ranges you have equity and shouldn't fold. Capping makes this hand infinitely easier to play postflop, as both of these players are aggressive and good at hand reading.

Re: Daily Hand Post: another decision with JJ
call. Soma could very well be doing this because he knows that you will fold there a lot(your tight image ). I think a call here is stronger than capping OOP. and I would CR any flop. SOma would have to have a serious hand to continue. A little gamesmanship. QTip probably has good stats on you so CRing any flop will also make him have to show up an excellent hand. of course if you think a cap would make QTip fold, then go ahead and do that

Re: Daily Hand Post: another decision with JJ
calling is worse than capping IMO, as if QTip sees you as TAG he has some hands that he'll fold for two more here that you wouldn't mind him folding. also that's the best way to put pressure on Sippin's overcards should the flop/turn come blank

Re: Daily Hand Post: another decision with JJ
Cap and it's not close. This is an open raise and a 3bet in the hijack and CO by two aggressive players.

Re: Daily Hand Post: another decision with JJ
I'd cap to get Qtip out and punish Soma for isolating. Also if the flop came an A we can bet out with more confidence.

Re: Daily Hand Post: another decision with JJ
Yeah pretty easy cap. I did a pokerstove analysis with the likely ranges and it's something 21, 34, 45. It's also relatively easy to play, even though you are OOP.

The open raise after that many folds could be any small pocket pair or something like QJs. The three bet and the cap from you will either make him fold, or simplify things postflop. |
