Agreed. I was on the other side of this in a binions tournament about a month ago. Guy tossed his cards in the muck after thinking I had hit a higher full house. After some fussing by the table it got straightened out and I was done.

Yeh there was a dealer but he didnt notice the flush or mention it- my cards were turned up. then i picked up my cards are threw them in. I then questioned him earlier and said i should have held onto my cards longer in order to notice it. He sort of apologized but i was a bit gutted.

In reply to the 10BB thing- yeh it was literally insane- Pot limit aswell so it wasnt rare in the rebuy period to have 4 or 5 all ins per hand!! lol!!!

You were entitled to the pot, so if this is true maybe you need to know the rules before you play next time. This is in a casino for christs sake they have cameras. I was told I won a pot like this in a cash game once, the difference being the cards were never turned up and the guy's neighbor was the only other one who saw the flush before it was mucked.

Small argument, which I won since the cards were never exposed nor retrievable since the dealer scooped them when mucked.

cards speak...if your cards were turned face up after being all in, you win. It doesn't matter if you douse them with gasoline and light them on fire...you win the pot.

Too bad. I was playing in a $2.5k buy-in event and it was pretty early on. I had top pair and was betting it against two players. The river made the board something like 278TJ and I had KJ I think. I bet and one guy calls my bet. I could swear I saw a 9 and mucked my hand (he was on the far side of the table from me). I had my ipod on too, but I turned it down. I thought I heard the guy say that he only had a pair when he took down the pot and I was disgusted with myself because the pot was fairly large. I was really steaming for the next hour, but at the break I walked over to him and asked what he had (didn't mention that I thought I beat him). He told me the 9 and he had the straight. I felt much better. You need to be careful about these things, as you learned.
