Re: Aggressive in large pot, correct?
This hand is actually pretty interesting. Often times it is correct to cap the turn when you are last to act and you strongly suspect that it will get capped anyway. This applies even when you have a weak hand. So if I had a set I would cap and hope that they check to me so I have the option to either bet or check behind if I don't fill up. In this case though, your hand is not getting shown down UI, so there is no reason to cap. In fact...you don't want to cap because you want to get bet into on the river if you make the flush.

Re: Aggressive in large pot, correct?
in the dark.....
On the turn: Pot odds/Outs: 9 for flush, 5 discounted to 2 for two pair or 3 of a kind. Total 11 outs. Pot odds: 3.2 to 1 You are in position to call up to 4 bets. Equity: 11 outs x 2 = 22%. You have a pot equity deficit. I think calling this all the way is the best way to go. You probably need the flush to win as you might be up against a straight, three of a kind ect..... but I would keep calling here, even though it looks like it will get capped without your help. (I like winning these kinds of hands because I like all the "hey you are a total idiot to call that messages that follow"). |
