Re: Hiding Hole Cards
[ QUOTE ]
Confession time: If I catch the people on my left or right lifting their cards too high, I always cop a peek. Ok that felt better. Back to business. [/ QUOTE ] The polite and proper thing to do would be to let the player know he's exposing his cards. If he continues to expose them after that; he's fair game. |

there's no room for polite when money is involved.

Re: Hiding Hole Cards
Make like a cup or "cave" with your two hands, lift the corners of the cards while sprerading them apart so you can see both, and peak down at them. Your hands should conceal the cards from left and right.
After you have mastered it, ask a friend to sit next to you and see if he can see your cards. bill |

Re: Hiding Hole Cards
I was in the 4 seat at Commerce the other night and told the 5 seat that if he kept lifting his cards like that, then the 6 seat and I will keep seeing them. He said thank you and that if saw me doing the same he would not have told me. I'm glad we never went heads up at that table.

Re: Hiding Hole Cards
[ QUOTE ]
It might not be the cards they are seeing, you could also have an obvious tell that they are picking up on as well. [/ QUOTE ] I don't know man... it wasn't everyone at the table, just the guy to my immediate left. I used to pick them up off the table and lean back and look at them... I don't any more. But I still may get a friend to sit next to me and tell me if he can see them or not. In fact I think I will. But I've just bought Mike Caro's book of tells and all so I may see through all of them as well. Just in case. |
