"But figuring all of that out is too much work. "

LOL Fair enough.

Though unlikely, I'm guessing the pos EV hands might be much different then people think.

Based on speculation of the type of hands that I think would be out there.... and that many of them would be seriously crippled to any type of draws... I'm still banking on something like 7-8suited or pocket 8s would actually have decent pot odds.

Its not hard to imagine the majority of the high end being out of the deck leaving those with low cards having the majority of draws.

I think the problem with calling 87s is that you're not going to get any more money than what's already in the pot. Chances are, someone is going to have a higher SC or unsuited AK and a 4suited board comes.

I'd consider playing 87s if everyone wasn't already in, but that's a different 'dumb but perhaps fun question'.

all-in... think about the pot odds.

if two or more decide to bang their heads together, i have to be damn sure i have the best chance to be the winner when its over. so in this unlikely situation its an easy fold with pocket sevens.

Setting up a scenario like this:

Playing Any Pair/0-,1-,2-gapped Suited Connectors
VS. 7 players:

AA - 28%
KK - 13%
QQ/AKs - 11%
JJ/AQs - 11%
TT/AJs/KQs/AKo - 8%
99/ATs/KJs/AQo - 8%
Any Pair/Broadway - 7%

Gives you about 13% chance, and enough to call. Decreasing the range increases your chances, favoring the middle/low suited connectors over the broadways.

that point is moot if your suited connector has ample equity in a multiway all in pot. you would about 14.5% equity to make it profitable so i think 7 way or 8 way i wouldn't mind being the last one all in with a middling suited connector. 45s to 89s would probably be ideal for increasing your number of outs ie. your straight outs aren't taken by higher pairs and such.

5c 4c 69139 18.34 307490 81.56 363 0.10 0.184

secondly even if you aren't getting enough equity in the pot, calling an all in for one buyin at most games would be great fun.

Well hopefully 4 of the people have AK and the other 4 have QJ. You are in good shape then.
