Re: How many sharks are too many????
[ QUOTE ]
We've all heard the saying "You can be the 10th best poker player in the world, but if you're at a table against the top 9, you'll lose". [/ QUOTE ] Just read this the other day myself. Don't know where. The bad players are usually playing too many hands and the good players will always be taking turns trying to take their money. If there are 3 other TAG's in a game that will put them in about 40% to 60% of the hands. Because I am only getting 20% or less hands to play that doesn't leave much for me. Once I see two more I start the search for juicy tables. 4 TAG's I am gone. I do mean TAG tho. Not much problem with tight and controllable. Most of the good players come under control if you are aggressive. If you get them to start checking and calling more because of your aggressiveness they will be reacting to you. This is okay.If when I raise they reraise or show aggression on my aggression it gets interesting. It's okay but not the formula for maximum $. |

Re: How many sharks are too many????
Quite frankly if you're the best player in the world and sit down at a table with the next nine best players, you're still exhibiting terrible table selection.
With the possible exception of if the table stakes are tremendously higher than any other game you can get. --Zetack |

Re: How many sharks are too many????
When the shark bites, with his teeth dear, scarlet billows start to spread.
Fancy gloves do, wears Mack Heath dear, so there's not a trace of red. That makes it tough, I usually leave the table when I see a trace of red. |
