if the turn is going to get checked through 20% of the time, thats far too often to make this play profitable.

I've had time to read all the responses and i think you guys are right. I should have bet the flop since i was out of position hoped for a raise to knock some players out or at least hope they will call with weak draws or inferior made hands.

I think my error was thinking that the pot being raised pre-flop by me was big enough to take the chance of waiting until the turn.My thinking would have been correct if there were 20sb or more in the pot because i don't want ANYONE to see the river.

In my hand,the pot was in-between so my top priority was not to win AT ANY COST but to get money in there with the probable best hand and hope for the best.Thanks for the responses. Ice
