Heineken Overated?

Nothing special, true. But there are times when Corona's perfect. (Namely, when it's 100 degrees out and you're BBQing. Or if you happen to live in a renovated warehouse with no A/C.) You don't _want_ a beer with much substance there, and I've found Corona+lime to be just far enough from water.

There's never a good reason to be drinking Heineken. The marketing would have you believe it's some premium high-quality beer, but there's just nothing interesting about it. It's not particularly good, it's not particularly cheap, it's...overrated. There's never a time when I think "gee, I could really go for a Heineken right now." I'll drink it if there's nothing else, and I'd take it over Coors Light (ignoring price) but it sucks.

Absolutely. Although I prefer negra modelo to the especial. The aforementioned un-air-conditioned warehouse was 1/2-block from a liquor store that sold negra modelo, and that made it a lot more bearable.

I didn't mean to imply that I _liked_ corona. Rather, there are days when I want crappy Mexican beer, and among those I prefer it.

Modelo Especial is definitely superior to Corona, and underrated (for what it is). Negro Modelo is a favorite of mine, as far as Mexican beers go. I'd also take Tecate and Carta Blanca over Corona.

Overrated - absolutely. Heineken doesn't even use real hops in the brewing process.

Overpriced - they sell their beer, they make a profit. The market has spoken - not overpriced.

Ill give Heiney a KQo...... 10-15 years ago it was Very good when the other options were mainly crappy US beers with no body, but people are now reading S&M, learning how to play/brew better and KQo can now be a trouble hand

It is also about game selection, On a hot Summer day I like a lighter more refreshing beer like a Carona or Even a bud light, In Winter Ill Drink a heartier beer like Heiney or Sam Adams
