Re: KK in SB - UGLY flop
I assume that you agree it's a good fold when it's three back to me on the flop though, right?

I assume that you agree it's a good fold when it's three back to me on the flop though, right? [/ QUOTE ] Yeah definitely. By then you have determined that the chance someone holds an ace is quite high, so your estimated pot equity is something like 3%. Not worth sticking around for. Code:

Board: Ac 8c 5c Dead: equity (%) win (%) / tie (%) Hand 1: 03.2058 % [ 00.03 00.00 ] { KsKd } Hand 2: 39.5974 % [ 00.39 00.01 ] { AKs-A2s, AKo-A2o } Hand 3: 10.2337 % [ 00.10 00.01 ] { random } Hand 4: 10.2267 % [ 00.10 00.01 ] { random } Hand 5: 36.7362 % [ 00.37 00.00 ] { Kc4h }

|

Re: KK in SB - UGLY flop
We can't assume somebody has an ace here.... but I think we can assume somebody has an ace about half the time (more? less?). This, coupled with the clubs and lack of position makes it a check.

Re: KK in SB - UGLY flop
Well, as it turned out, the three better held the K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
Turn = 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] River = 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Idiot with the club stuck around and showed K high. Other two showed A2o and ATo respectively. Chalk another one up for top pair, good enough kicker. |
