I play mostly 10 handed, but I like the raise on the flop. There may be a draw out there you want to charge as much as u can. U also may be mistaken for trying a free card raise? That is probably why you got 3 bet, and to help disguise my hand, I just call the 3 bet, instead of capping it. Especially since the BB calls the 3 bet. Then when the draw does not come on the turn, either the SB or BB will bet out to make sure the other 2 do not get free look at their draws. So you can raise the turn!

I think the reason you bet the river has to do with position. If the SB has u beat, ck/raising would drive out the BB probably. So he collects 2 bets from you only if you bet out, and u also call his raise. If he bets out, he collects from BB some of the time (60% maybe?), and you may even raise? If the BB has u beat, the bb is thinking that u might ck also, and he loses 2 bets.
