that doesnt sound like the same thing at all

Yeah, I didn't type what I meant. I more meant I had that same feeling of pitty for a player and wanted to just let them keep their money. Not the same situation at all, but the same sort of compassion you feel for a trapped animal.

When playing a dull party table and typing at 4 AM, you don't quite get the meaning of your words out.

Wait.

So you three bet with Aces and everyone folded. Are you sure you contained that smile?? Could it be that you hadn't played a hand in a very long time?

Am I missing something here?

Perhaps you are unfamiliar with chopping. The player in the blinds agree to take their blinds back, and the hand is not played.

Nope. You missed the point. I was in the BB and never got a chance to act. That's what got me. If I had a chance to make any decision and no action happened, then it would have been my own fault.

The reason I grind that table is the amount of action makes it too profitable for me not play. 1/2 players at casinos

[/ QUOTE ]

After the extrodinarily high rake, the jackpot drop, the toke (and things like toking on a blind chop) I find it VERY hard to believe that you make even more than minimum wage (and actually prolly alot less) grinding (in this case, thats the best application of this word....EVER) this table. Move the hell up limits man, you are costing yourself lots of money if in fact you truly are a winning player. Not to be a dick tho, but I very much suspect you are actually a winning player, but the good news is you read this boards so you are at the best place to change that.

Maybe you should wait until the action is on you in the BB before you look at your cards next time. It seems to me that you must have a tell that scared everyone away.

Of course I like to pump my fist, jump out of my seat and scream yeah baby everytime I get AA in the Big Blind... But I play online so its harder to pickup the tell.

At a 1-2 table in a casino? Highly doubt it.

*shrug*

I play 1/2 for profit early in the morning. I hit the casino about 8:30am to catch people on the tail end of a winning streak. It's hard not to tripple up in a couple of hours. I then take that as my stake for the 5/5 table and go from there. Next month the bankroll will be sufficent to move up levels but for now it works.

That being said, although I am a winning player, I don't consider myself a good player yet. I'm not sure what level one has to get before they can consider themself good, but I'm willing to learn and figure it out.
