I wish I had something positive to add other then, don't try so hard.

I have read this forum for the past five years. Posters like you come and go. We once had a guy just like you, he posted as Huzitup2. He lasted a few month.

I give the over under on you about 4 months. I will discuss this at the next Pooh Bah meeting.

It's a bit surprising to read the degree of animosity being spewed about. People are actually saying "I hate you" and revelling in being immature because it is fun. Amazing and sad that anyone would actually, and publicly, embrace such a view.

However abrasive Matador has been, I think to blame her/him for all these violent reactions is a cop out. I also think it is a bit too easy and safe to flame people without reservation when you can do so from the safe, comfortable distance provided by the internet. (I'm feeling heat already. What I find interesting is how intense all these reactions are. If I were the Matador, I'd love to sit down for some face to face poker with some of the posters. They lack emotional control. They seem to go on tilt over nothing, even when there is no money at stake.

Some of the posters seem obsessed with defending the truth of whatever point they are making, but I feel it is far more important to know why they are so disturbed.

From time to time a bonafide class AAA A**hole will sit down in one of my live games. He swears, trash talks, bullies, lies, angle shoots, brags endlessly, needles and preens. So what? He's a dope, a bad player trying to win with bs moves rather than quality play. I love him, not just because he donates money, but because of how he makes other people at the table degenerate.

That's what these Matador threads reminded me of: A bunch of folks over-reacting to nothing. Let the Matador have 10 "different" identities if she/he chooses. We can all wink and know, in our profound perceptiveness, who she/he really is. Then we can respond, or not, to the content.

Anyway, when I ask myself why I'm even bothering to join this thread (the content of which mostly seems just silly) I guess it's because I hope that hatred and unrestrained flaming of posters doesn't unduly infect 2+2. There's so much good, helpful, and often kind content here. It would be unfortunate if our forum degenerated.
