Another thing that needs to be considered is people's changing playstyle. Say you have 100 hands on a guy and he has a 50% VP$IP then you don't see him at your table for a month. It certainly is reasonable to give him credit for having tightened up some if he has decided to continue playing. If a person is developing at all as a player, his aggression will be going up, VP$IP going down, PFR going up... so I certainly don't think you should be using all their stats, just maybe the last 200-500 hands depending on what kind of an observation time frame we're talking about, but using that small a sample size is at odds with the facts mentioned earlier about needing a good 400 hands to have any hope of being within 5% on their stats...

I'm just rambling here. Just some things I was thinking about. Probably not all that relevant, as most bad players I have about 100 hands on, and most good players I have about 1000 hands on, and just need to remember to watch out for them.
