Eh. I don't get it, if you're a winning player and you played for 2 hours how did you lose $300?

just there was a 1.5 hr stretch in therre where i didnt win one.

i'm assuming you guys were 100++ hands per hour. so let's assume you played ~170 hands in that 90 minutes. the blinds would have killed you alone.

i'm not disputing that you had a bad run, but it would have been much worse than -300 if you went 170 hands at a 6-max with no wins.

i've got no doubt that it FELT like 90 minutes with no wins, but you had to have won some pots in that stretch. 0 wins in a short handed game for 170 hands would be wayyyy off the SD curve.

however, i know exactly how you feel. having only a $300 loss in a horrible run at those 10-20 SH games is pretty damn good.

maybe these guys were just NEVER folding in there....but I know I occasionally win a pot when I miss my draw mostly based on how strongly I bet throughout the hand (and previous hands).

In other words, limiting your losses does not necessarily mean you were playing ideally regardless of how crappy the cards were.
Perhaps you were playing great....but this mind-set sounds dangerously close to weak-tight to me.
Playing ultra-tight isn't the worst crime in the world....but on the 6-max tables I'm not sure it can be terribly successful in the long-run.

Without any further details or HH's or the like it's hard to know for sure of course.

i won 2 sets of blinds in that time during the 1.5 hours....maybe a bit shorter but not much. also had sb fold to me about two or three times in BB.

Anyways i was actually down more than 300 during the 1.5 hrs, but in the other half ai made up a good chunk.

was actually down around 700 for just that 1.5 hr

Yeah before I even got to Granny's post I did a quick calculation. You said 130 hands. 130/6 = 21.67* $15 in blinds per round = $325 in losses right there. - the cpl times they just folded to you is stil about $300 in losses without ever calling even one bet outside the blinds.
edit: sorry never noticed the other half hour of wins
Makes no sense.

i'll bet you guys were 120+ HH. the 10-20 players at paradise SH games are very fast. i've hit dry spells there in the past that have cost me 1k in less than an hour, but it felt like 12 hours.

oye.

anyway, nice recovery to net only -300

why didn't you just leave the table and go to a new one. Obviously you weren't getting the cards so switch it up.

Good thinking. I bet the cards would have been better a different table.
Too bad he didn't KNOW he was going to get crappy cards ahead of time.
