Tulsa. I am very interested in playing tournies. Don't think I'll play much limit or no limit ring games due to the rake and tiping.

This is so awesome... I'm originally from Tulsa too and come back to visit a few times a year. It'd be nice to have a nearby pokerroom to play at.

I am from England but my wife's family live in Tulsa
and we are visiting at Christmas. I hope I am not being rude
but Tulsa is the most depressing place I have ever visited and I am dreading the trip, but the thought of some Poker action would be a God send.
Please could you guys tell me where this place is you are talking about.

I lived in Tulsa for 3 years and graduated high school there. My parents still live there.

Tulsa--nice place to live, but you wouldn't want to visit.

I am in Edmond, so I am interested in any info on Poker Rooms around OKC. I think I might live in the spot farthest from any Indian Casino in Oklahoma though. They're south, east and west of OKC, and I'm north. Bummer. I'm sick of driving to Kansas City to play poker.

Well, there's nothing definite yet about who will have poker. The tribes have to enter into a "compact" and agree to have these games. I think they need 3 or 4 tribes to enter for it to go through. I would imagine that lucky star, winstar, and the one near norman (lucky start also?) will have poker. I would guess that winstar will be the best one since it's on the Texas boarder, it's packed all the time already, and alot of Dallas players will play there rather than driving to Shreveport. I don't think we'll see any poker rooms here until at least January though.

I'm very glad to hear this news. I live about 25 minutes south of the Red River, about 35 minutes from the nearest Choctaw casino. The new Winstar casino is not very far away either. Any idea if Choctaw will enter into the "compact"?

The Casino near Norman is called Thunderbird Wild Wild West. I went there once. It's kind of a pit.
