Re: Weak or smart?
Maybe I can take a stab at this - personally, I think KJo is a really weak hand which I tend to overplay - but I hate calling with it. I think of it as a raise/fold situation if I'm in anything other than LP. In MP with a few callers, I don't know how much I like calling - especially if by raising you can get the button and possibly get a free card if the flop misses.
I think its worth it if you think you can buy the button - but if you think you're going to get 2+ callers behind you, then I might even consider folding this hand. KJo has not been very good to me - and I don't think it's a particularly +EV hand. Ajax |

Re: Weak or smart?
You are either going to raise or fold this hand on the flop.
With a juicy straight draw on the board an EP bettor and crowded field behind you with a relatively small pot, this is an easy fold. You start putting money into potyou have to assume you have the best hand until someone tries to tell you otherwise. Wait for a better situation to put chips at risk. |

Re: Weak or smart?
I find KJo a problem child as well, I dont like folding it preflop if there is no raise but I dont like calling either.
This hand is weak multiway but I suppose limping in early/middle position and hoping to check/raise may be a better way to play it rather than raising preflop. |
