I would rather shoot myself in the face than fold that.

Railbirds are morons (even if they are canadian ).

I love the 'tough call man' comments. I got the same crap when I called an all-in the BB with 65s in a live tourney on Saturday. It was t420 to call a pot of t2420. Everyone is like, 'wow you're crazy.'

I won the hand.

Default What kind of comment is that?

Hello All,

Yes, poker is so popular there is now a Canadian Poker Tour (insert laugh track here)

[/ QUOTE ]

May I ask what is so funny about this?

I can only assume your labelling this as 'laugh-worthy' is being done in some ironic sense that I am not getting.

A lot of people have put in a lot of time - and are putting in more time as we speak - to make this tour that you find so funny. A little respect wouldn't hurt.

Geez, I thought if you were a part of a sub-group (in this case Canadian) you were allowed to mock yourself without having to explain.

I'm not belittling anyone's efforts, I think the crew at the Yellowhead did a fine job, and I am glad I have access to larger buy-in live events.

Its more in the vein of Canadian Golf tour vs. USPGA tour or the European Tour, Canadian game show vs. US Game shows (prizes awarded of $1,000,000 vs. a dinner for 2)

Don't you know that having an inferiority complex about all things Canadian is, well...very Canadian?

Lighten up.

Regards,
Woodguy

P.S. Are you the tourney director froim Calgary who was playing?

Finished 28th

I had $24,000 going into day 2.

Re-dealt for the button, and I am UTG+2, blinds 10,000/5,000 with a 500 ante.

Folded 1st hand, got dealt A6o UTG and decided it was now or never.

Got called by TT (all in) and KK. No help for anyone, and I went home.

Made a little $$$ and had a lot of fun.

Regards,
Woodguy
