Re: Fold QQ here?
I think betting the flop is better than checking behind. It got me the info I needed - that my QQ was no good. Checking behind may induce a bluff from a worse hand but I wont know where I'm at and...

Re: William Hill monthly casino bonus...
make sure you take the full £25 from your account and not the bonus account. I had £0.50p left in my bonus account so putting £25 into the casino wasn't enough. I cashed my chips back in and bought...

Re: PlanetLuck Questions
When a 9, T or A is showing then dealers most likely hand is 19+, so your A7 is pretty weak. By hitting you can not bust, and can catch quite a few cards to give you a decent shot at drawing out.

Re: Pokerroom 200NL
I may be being a dumbass here but isn't making it $20 a pot sized raise?
$2+$4 in pot, plus $4 to call = $10
so $20 is a $10 (or pot sized) raise.

Re: 99 hand - where did I go wrong?
Thanks for the comments.
I think part of my problem is I still struggle to refuse I'm beaten, so when I do fold hands like I did here I constantly think to myself that maybe I chucked the winner....

99 hand - where did I go wrong?
I'd appreciate some feedback on this hand. Hands like this make me realise how much I've got to learn, and being out of position really sucked.
Personally think PF and flop are fine. I dont like...

Re: Play Along..... Street by Street - THE TURN
At this stage any bet has you commited so you need to either push or check.
Button range: AXh, AJ, AT, QJ all of which we are ahead of.
Less likely: KT, 66 which beat us.
I dont think we can...

Re: Play Along...... street by street - The FLOP
With the flush draw out there if MP hit his set he is going to lead out. As will any 2-pair/top pair hand. I think its safe to assume you are ahead.
After his check MPs range of hands can be...

Re: Who else would\'ve gone broke?
[ QUOTE ]
This play was typical of him recently. He'd limp and wait until people got in and then he'd raise or reraise the first chance he got.

In which case you have to call.

Re: Who else would\'ve gone broke?
Its hard to say without having been there and seen just how he was playing.
His reraise is is essentially putting you all in, but without putting you all in, which screams even more strength.
I'd...

Re: Bounty Tournament Idea
I like it, but probably on a smaller scale - say 50% to the payout structure & 50% as bounty.
The 10% of whoever you knock out is just cruel - so I quite like that too. I can imagine seeing...

Re: Who else would\'ve gone broke?
When somebody who has been "pushing their weight around" limps UTG, and then reraises a substantial raise, alarm bells should start ringing.

Risks: You make a hand you have beat fold on the flop. (like getting AQ to fold when you have AK after a flop of 78J)

Set Vs Flush - Bet the turn?
