$50NL How\'s the turn bet here? Do you check or bet the river?

I wasn't really sure what to do on the river here. I think my play before that was okay, but I'd like comments if anyone feels otherwise.

VILLAIN here was playing very loosely. Calling large...

$50NL Hand Comments?

Comments?

My read on the big blind is that he's a mouse with jackal tendencies. He plays pretty tightly, but tends to make huge all-in bets with marginal hands like overpairs, etc.

No-Limit...

Re: MONSTER DRAW in an unraised pot

[ QUOTE ]
I have to say I agree, Brunson is definately not as much use as the book is 25 odd years old, Poker has changed alot especially low level internet games, table image is just not anywhere...

The flop was A83 rainbow. I couldn't ask for a flop with fewer draws to beat me. I don't want Ax to fold, because he is drawing dead. I was willing to take the chance for...

I'm not suggesting that Doyle is God and you're clueless but I asked a simple question as to why he would feel differently and I have yet to recieve an answer.

Re: Does Multi-Tabling Increase Variance?

[ QUOTE ]
You could be up 11.5 on one, down 13.5 on another, up 22 on the third, and down 19 on the 4th.

Looks a bit swingy - but it's really not.

[/ QUOTE ]

And it that type of scenario...

Does Multi-Tabling Increase Variance?

Do I need to have a larger bankroll if I want to multi-table "safely"?

Some people suggest 150 BBs for O8, other people suggest 300, but either way, do these requirements go up if I want to play...

Computer Question (Mac vs. PC)

Hey all,

So my laptop just went on the fritz (won't even turn on) and I think I may just buy a new computer rather than shell out to get it repaired. I really like the Mac Titanium Powerbooks, but...

Re: playing two pair

[ QUOTE ]
It's also important to note that with a hand like the one mentioned above, you should be raising after the flop (especially in late position). This will either chase everyone or almost...

Re: playing two pair

[ QUOTE ]
I selected that example very specifically for a reason. With the other card on board of a 4, it is relatively unlikely that your opponents will play 44xx. Only an A coming gives someone a...

Re: playing two pair

Thanks for the replies. I realize it's a rather broad question. It was prompted by my general observation that if you assume it's going to take the nuts to win (and, of course, it usually does in a...

playing two pair

Is a loose, low-limit game, is it safe to assume that if you flop two pair with no nut low draw, you should routinely muck?

Re: Hand Comments: correct call or not?

Thanks for the reply Buzz.

Also the fact that I had a baby club flush draw seemed to tip the scale just a tiny bit more toward calling. With only two other opponents I figured there was a change...

Hand Comments: correct call or not?

I realize I won the low on this hand, but my question is whether calling a two-bet on the turn was correct or not. I was torn at the time between calling or folding, and I was tending toward...

average POTS won per hour...or...\"patience, patience, patience\"

So I realize that in any normal poker discussion, it's a horrible mistake to ever think in terms of "number of pots won", because, after all, you could "win" 100 tiny pots and still blow your whole...

How do I find the leaks in my game?

Re: Saving Omaha in Cardrooms

Are you sure Bay 101 has 1/2 Omaha,BigRed? I'm also from San Jose, but I just checked their website and they've only got 4/8 listed. It sure would be great if they had 1/2 though. Also, is it Omaha8...
