Re: Hideously passive with KK?
I got worried on the flop, 3 cards to a flush and an Ace - I had no real read on the BB but I thought I would check and call anyway as I am trying to get a bit less prone to folding.
Raise the...

Just what Ed likes to hear. Another royalty bites the dust...
I knew someone was going to say that, so to reassure NPAEM, if he doesn't buy it by Christmas his sister and I are getting it for him....

Re: SSH page 135 question
i see what your getting at, tons of the micro players play anything with the ace, but that straight possibility raises your chances immensly, and makes it much more valuable multiway
I recall SSHE...

Re: RESULTS
If I recall correctly, Ed elaborated on the fact that if people notice you waiting for the BB for too many hands, then they will think you are too serious.
He said something to the effect of,...

Re: Weak tight w/ AA?
I'd probably play it the same way. If he's not seeing many flops, he may be a decent player, and his open-raise could just mean "decent hand," but since it was capped before it got back to him there...

Re: flopped set in the SB
And when the button caps the flop, I would bet out again on the turn and river and pray to be raised -- kinda suprised the button slowed down as soon as he did.
Button showed 22 for flopped bottom...

flopped set in the SB
Was the flop 3-bet correct? I had a vague notion of protecting my hand from people drawing to the straight or any backdoor flush at the time.
And given that the button capped the flop, should I...

Re: We got a code blue here ...
That's the worst thing I've ever seen. /images/graemlins/smile.gif
I probably would have called that flop bet to see the turn, though I'm a little loose when I can close the action on the flop for...

Re: Should I have run away?
I probably would have raised the turn here as it's entirely possible (and statistically more likely) that UTG+2 is betting overcards rather than a big pocket pair. If he 3-bets you, I'd call it down....

Re: KTs UTG+1
This is not really a semi-bluff here. This seems like a minor point but it isnt really. It leads right into the question the previous poster asked about what you would do if the turn isnt a heart.

Re: KTs UTG+1
Would the pre-SSHE me have just called if SB bet out on the turn? Barring any reads, probably. If he slowed on the flop to my reraise but bet out again on the turn, I'd probably have gotten passive...

Re: KTs UTG+1
did SSHE change the way you played this from before?
Slightly -- I still probably would have made the turn semi-bluff and obviously the played river the same, but I would have gone passive with...

QJo in BB
Routine, right?
Here's my question: pretend the hand unfolded the same way, but CO and I exchanged places. That is, on the flop, SB bets, ex-CO folds, MP3 calls, and it's to me. This would be a...

Re: fun at penny tables: AQs UTG
BB tables 55 and MHIG. By the flop cap I figured she was either holding the fives, K5, or KJ, with the first two being more likely.
The turn raise is much worse than the flop raise, which I would...

Re: Hand the Fourth
Any other opinions on the UTG raise with KQo?
I'll raise KQo in an unraised pot from any position in most typical games.
In this particular instance, button's 3-bet preflop and subsequent 3-bet...
